Contract therapists work independently and are considered self employed.  The therapist is responsible for their taxes and business expenses.  Contract therapist's rate is generally higher to accomodate for these expenses.

 Therapists directly employed by Therapy For Developmental Disabilities, LLC have the benefit of having taxes witheld from their paychecks and will receive a W-2 at the end of the year.
